A holiday postcard from the town where the first cylinder landed. The front is the postcard lettering, with the machines showing through the town's name. The back is the view: a fighting machine, a red planet, and the heat-ray going straight through “Wish you were here.” The artwork is genuinely antique: Henrique Alvim Corrêa's illustrations for the 1906 Brussels edition of H. G. Wells's The War of the Worlds, long in the public domain. We restore the scans, build the composition and set the type in-house.
